Born in Germany, I live and work in Brussels, Belgium.   

I am an abstract painter who loves to learn and to experiment. My inspiration comes from photography, landscape or other impressions. My paintings are created in a process of discovery, trial and error as well as letting go. The textures in my paintings are based on Natural materials, such as rock and stone flours. I also use various types of papers, , other materials as well as acrylic, ink & pigments.

My artwork basically reflects what we all experience in our lives... starting with an idea, making a plan, realising that we might need a new plan since the original one does not work, starting all over or taking it from there,  ending up with a visible track, covering it up, re-starting again... at the end, the piece of art shows every single of those steps like our memories reflect the experiences of our lives.

my other passion is Photography. I love to see the world through my camera. Sometimes I catch special moments while on other occasions a little detail gains unexpected importance. but see for yourself...
